What's New
My, my, how things change.... Let's see..... We moved back in March and we are just now getting settled. I'm loving the fact that we have a one story home now. No more running up and down those awful stairs. Laundry room is close by and so are the kids room's.
I've lost 10 lbs and cut my hair short again. Hubby is not happy about it, but he will have to adjust. I't so much cooler.
We have started to eat better- no chips! No Chips alowed in the house. I'm so proud of hubby. He quit eating them a couple of weeks ago and now he says he's lost his taste for them. Yea! I didn't know that you could loose your taste for chips, and it's great to know you can.
Meanwhile, with the help of the Holy Spirit, I have managed to control my frantic hungry kids when we get home from our day by giving them a snack in the car and that holds them over till dinner time, when real food is availabe. Before, they were so hungry that they were raising cain for something to eat when they walked in the door. Now they eat thier snack and go play while I get dinner ready. I actually get to cook! Which is something that I love to do. I am also introducing T&L to better food. T has a finicky palatte. He is like I was a kid. very picky. L on the other hand is not hard to please. So I feed both kids what I made for dinner, but usually wind up fixing a BP&J to fill him up.
I think what I'm going to do is cronicle our health food journey. I have found some great healthy eating site with fab reciepies. Most have kid freindly recipies too. So I will be experimenting with some fun new foods that I have never had a desire to eat before. See I'm still a picky eater- and a somewhat unhealthy eater.
I'm trying to eat for health, not eat for taste. But when the two work together!!!
